Electric Toothbrush Comparison

So many people have swapped their manual toothbrush to an electric toothbrush. As they have been approved by dentists all across the world as well as showing the best results. I have decided to do an electric toothbrush comparison on the top electric toothbrushes.

Oral-B Smart 6 6000N Electric Toothbrush

electric toothbrush comparison - oral b toothbrush

Firstly, the oral-B Smart 6 6000N electric toothbrush that includes a variety of features. It has an on and off button on the front of the brush and also a button that allows you to change cleaning modes. The toothbrush has 5 different cleaning modes including daily clean, whittening,  gum care, sensitive and pro clean. Therefore this toothbrush is ideal for anyone, the most popular cleaning mode is the daily clean due to fact it has a 2 minute timer as well as the best brushing action.

Charge Station

I recommend if you don’t have access to a shaving plug socket then you will need to get a 2 to 3 adapter. It will be worth it as It will take upto 12 hours for the toothbrush to be fully charged and last up to 56 minutes which is roughly 2 weeks for 4 minutes a day which is brilliant.

Reviews:

Pros:

  • Long lasting battery
  • Smartphone holder
  • Monitor to how often you brush your teeth and how long for
  • Provides tips
  • 2 minute timer
  • Affordable

Cons:

  • Need an adapter if you don’t have access to a shaving plug

I would highly recommend the Oral-B toothbrush as I was impressed with its performance. I only charged it once a week overnight as in the past I have used a toothbrush and needed 24 hour charging. Also with what the toothbrush futures i think for £69.99 is an excellent price.

Secondly, I have chosen another Oral-B electric toothbrush for the electric toothbrush comparison. The Oral-B Vitality CrossAction Electric Toothbrush but this one is half the price of the Oral-B Smart 6 6000N. Due to it being a cheaper toothbrush it comes with fewer features such as only 2 cleaning actions unlike the first Oral-B toothbrush featuring 5. The brush head on the Oral-B toothbrush rotates and oscillates

Battery Life

The Oral-B toothbrush battery can last up to 8 days, however, it is suggested you charge it overnight as it isn’t as fast charging as the higher price ranged toothbrushes. A charging stand comes with a toothbrush. However, again unless you have a shaving plug you will need to have a 2 pin adaptor to be able to charge the toothbrush

Price

This toothbrush is definitely more affordable compared to other electric toothbrushes. For only £20 and therefore is the cheapest toothbrush you can get your hands on. So it is definitely worth a try. As it also comes with two brush heads that usually cost about £3 each realistically you are getting the toothbrush for £17.Definitely worth the extra cost compared to a manual toothbrush, for a deeper clean.

Review

You really do get what you pay for when it comes to the Oral-B Vitality Plus toothbrush. I would highly recommend this toothbrush if you are looking with more budget as it definitely cleans better than a manual toothbrush. It is also great that it comes with two brush heads so, therefore, will last longer than a manual brush as well. Even though it is a chunkier toothbrush compared to the others it has a great grip working in its favour.

Pros:

  • Great price
  • Cleans well
  • Comes with 2 brush heads

Cons:

  • Not the best battery life
  • Limited features

Review

I would highly recommend purchasing the Philips Sonicare PortectiveClean electric toothbrush. Especially when it is on offer. The battery life is very good and the fact It has 2 settings powerful, wow even more powerful.

It has two lights on it, one to alert you to when it needs recharging and the other to remind you to replace your brush head, which needs doing every 3 months

It also has what they call Quadpacer & Smart-Timer, the idea is you divide your mouth into quarters, and it alerts you by vibrating when it is time to move on to the next quad. This does discipline you into spending the right amount of time cleaning.

The toothbrush heads come with individual covers which is great for hygiene as well as a handy travel case.

This brush is 100% great value for money, does an excellent job without having to break the bank.

Pros

  • Long battery life between charges
  • Pressure sensor
  • BrushSync technology
  • Included travel case protects the handle
  • Includes 2 brush heads
  • Has great offers on the price

Con

  • Can be slightly overpriced without an offer
